life:

Does she look familiar? Of course she does — Elizabeth Olsen, the younger sister of a rather famous pair of twins, plays a cult escapee in Martha Marcy May Marlene.
Elizabeth is just one of several stars who dropped by photographer Jeff Vespa’s Toronto studio; check daily throughout the festival to see more celebrity portraits made exclusively for LIFE: Portraits: Toronto Film Festival 2011

Fact: Elizabeth Olsen is the prettiest.

Martha Marcy May Marlene - easily one of, it not THE, most disturbing movies I’ve seen in years. Silly cult frivolity this is not. Elizabeth Olsen was superb - equal parts hapless victim and menacing terror. I hope her genetics don’t become a handicap, because she couldn’t be farther from her sisters in terms of unabridged watch-ability. She has such a presence. John Hawkes was (predictably) wonderful and eerie as well. The ending set my teeth on edge. And a first time director, at that! Sean Durkin, one to watch (even if in person he was neurotic and slightly annoying - the Q&A that followed the screening was almost unbearable because of him… that and an audience member asking Elizabeth Olsen “so, what are your sisters up to these days?” - ugh).
